Some Celtic fans really want to see Daniel Arzani in action

Celtic supporters have taken to Twitter to urge Neil Lennon to feature Daniel Arzani in the second half of the season, after the club wished him a Happy Birthday this weekend.

Arzani joined on a two-season loan deal in the summer of 2018 but missed the majority of last season after suffering a horror injury on his debut against Dundee at Dens Park.

He’s been out of action since then, failing to even make an 18-man match squad.

It’s fair to say it must have been a frustrating time for the player, whose fitness apparently isn’t quite up to scratch.

He has however been pictured training with the first team in Dubai, so perhaps has a part to play in the second half of the season.

Some fans really want to see that happen, feeling that the Australian international still has the talent to make an impact in Lennon’s team.

Celtic aren’t exactly blessed with wide options right now beyond James Forrest and Mikey Johnston. Scott Sinclair is nowhere to be seen and Mohamed Elyounoussi is also injured. Marian Shved has also been left on the outside looking in for the most part.

With Forrest’s form dropping off before the break, it’d be great to have a skilful player ready to come in if the Scotland stalwart needs rested or rotated out of the side.
