Some Celtic supporters are concerned about the progress of Marian Shved after manager Neil Lennon offered a sobering update on his current status at the club.

As the Ukrainian dropped out of the Hoops Europa League squad for the knockout stages, Lennon told The Daily Record: “He’s found it difficult, he struggles with the English and in training at times he’s not at the level the rest of them are.

“He’s still a very talented player, but he’s still taking a bit more time to adapt and acclimatise than maybe some others would.”

Shved has made just two appearances for the club since arriving last summer, both of which have come from the bench.

He hasn’t been seen in a Celtic match squad since October.

With the Hoops squad even suffering injuries to Mohamed Elyounoussi and Mikey Johnston, there just doesn’t seem to be a place for Shved in Lennon’s team and some fans are beginning to think he’ll never make it in Glasgow.

Shved arrived with an exciting reputation after a stand-out season for Karpaty Lviv in his homeland last term, scoring 15 goals in 26 appearances (Transfermarkt).

He even scored on his debut for Celtic, ramping up the hype levels.

Unfortunately, though he isn’t quite adapting to Scotland and given a previous move to Sevilla ended after struggling with the switch from Ukraine to Spain (The Daily Record), it’s beginning to look like history could repeat itself.

These fans are certainly concerned, taking to Twitter this week to share their thoughts on it all…
