Some opposition supporters are not happy at all with a Tuesday decision on Leigh Griffiths that has ensured he will not face a ban from Celtic action.

The Glasgow Times have reported that the Hoops striker is in the clear after a Scottish FA expert panel decided his tangle with Hamilton man Sam Woods did not warrant a red card.

That’s despite days of media coverage suggesting that the forward was lucky to get away with the alleged ‘stamp’.

Griffiths has returned to regular action for Neil Lennon’s Celtic since the return from the winter break and it seems he is getting back towards his best form, scoring three goals in five matches.

He’s also allowing Odsonne Edouard more freedom in the final third with the Frenchman lapping up the chance to drive at the opposition defence, score goals and create chances for others.

It would have been a real shame for the player to be banned for such a non-incident especially after he’s worked so hard to even get back onto the pitch.

Hopefully, the outcry on Griffiths now dissipates a bit now and he can get back to proving his doubters wrong by banging in even more goals.

Amusingly though, this latest decision from the SFA appears to have sent some rival fans into meltdown, left fuming by a perceived lack of justice dished out.

Clearly the pressure of the chase for trophies is taking its toll a bit on other clubs’ fans, with some suggesting that the Hoops have an unfair advantage due to getting preference from authorities…
