Celtic fans will be looking forward to the Premier Sports Cup final against St Mirren on Sunday.
Of course, the Bhoys face Roma before the Hampden date but a League Cup final is always special for Celtic supporters as it’s the first step to winning a domestic treble.
Before Celtic lost to Hearts, confidence would have been high heading into both games. However, Wilfried Nancy’s new tactics are clearly taking time to bed in and it looks like the Hoops could be in for a testing couple of games.
Will the match officials have a big bearing on the Premier Sports Cup final between Celtic and St Mirren?
And it seems that to combat Nancy’s new Celtic style, St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson has gone covert and unveiled his secret plan to try and get one over on the Frenchman and his hands on the Premier Sports Cup.

Stephen Robinson plans to combat Celtic by studying Columbus Crew
St Mirren have been tough to beat since Robinson took over the helm in Paisley in 2022. In fact, Martin O’Neill even struggled to win there when Celtic narrowly beat the Buddies 1-0 two weeks ago.
And it seems that Robinson has a cunning plan to tackle Wilfried Nancy as he looks to pile more misery on the new Celtic boss.
Robinson told Barrhead News, “We have to see what the new manager does. You can’t change the players, so they’ll still have the same personnel.
“We’ve watched a little bit of Columbus Crew already, seeing certain things that he does.
“Whether he implements them with Celtic will remain to be seen but, ultimately, Celtic have got good players.
“They spend millions of pounds assembling their squad. They expect to win the cup every year, so what the new manager does in the short period of time, we’ll see, but we know it’s going to be a hard task.
“No matter who is the manager, they’ve got top-quality players.”
Celtic’s results vs St Mirren bode well for the Premier Sports Cup final
Celtic haven’t lost to St Mirren since the 2-0 defeat in Paisley in September 2022.
Since then, the Bhoys have won all but two as a three-year undefeated streak during Robinson’s tenure is a positive sign ahead of the Hampden final.
