Given the demand for Celtic right now, it’s probably no surprise to learn that tickets for our upcoming derby against Rangers sold out in a flash.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side will take on our rivals on Saturday 8 April, knowing that a win could virtually secure another league title for the club.

If Celtic win their first two fixtures following their post-international return, we will be a minimum of 12 points clear of the Ibrox side with just seven fixtures to go.

We’d have to drop points in at least five of our final seven to stand any chance of losing the league. It would be as good as over.

Put simply, Celtic have the chance for a virtual title party against Rangers on April 8. That thought seems to be shared by Celtic fans too.

At 11:09am on Thursday, the club tweeted that “a limited number of match tickets” were on sale to season ticket holders.

These are effectively general sale tickets for seats not taken up by season ticket holders.

Just 33 minutes later, the club tweeted again to announce that tickets for the match had sold out.

The reality is that the tickets came and went in much less than 33 minutes.

So Celtic Park will be jam-packed. That’s hardly a surprise.

Everyone buying a ticket for the match will be supporting Celtic with no Rangers fans in attendance for the fixture.

It has the potential to be a massive party, with the stadium filled by Celtic fans and the potential for a virtual title cliincher.

We just need to get through Ross County first.
