Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard is a player who has certainly been in the news recently. His excellent form for both the Hoops and the France under-21 side has caught the attention of Napoli.
The Daily Mail recently reported that the Italian side are preparing a bid for the Hoops striker. Now Edouard has received praise from one of his opponents in Scottish football.
That player is Kilmarnock’s Stephen O’Donnell, who believes that the player is currently the best striker in Scotland.
“He has got everything”
“He is tall, athletic, his quality on the ball, dribbling. Everything about him. He looks like a top player.”
There is no doubt that Edouard has taken his game to a new level for Celtic in the last 12 months. He has improved as a player since he first arrived at the club from PSG.
Credit for that has to not only go to the player, but to former Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers and current boss Neil Lennon.
Managers have put faith in player
They have continued to place their faith in a player who is still at the start of his career. Now Edouard’s next test for the Hoops will come when Celtic face Rennes in the Europa League.
He has passed practically every other test he has faced in a Celtic shirt – a return to France will hopefully prove to be another memorable occasion for the striker.
