Stephen Welsh may be playing for Motherwell this season, but he has done Celtic a huge favour.

It was a pretty successful weekend for the Hoops after they beat Falkirk as Rangers lost at home to the Steelmen.

Hearts did beat Hibernian but for Welsh, it was a great moment inflicting another loss upon Rangers, and the Celtic loanee wasn’t going to celebrate quietly.

Stephen Welsh’s full-time celebrations show Celtic loyalty

Welsh scored the winner when Motherwell last played Rangers, but getting one over them at Ibrox must have felt even sweeter.

It means that Celtic have moved up to second in the table and, as the Steelmen’s social media team caught the full-time celebrations, Welsh was front and centre.

In the video posted to their club channels, the centre-back is heard screaming and cheering down the tunnel back to the dressing room.

Some Hoops fans have claimed that Martin O’Neill sent him back as a double agent after allowing the 26-year-old to return to Fir Park in January.

Jens Berthel Askou is already helping Celtic out

Jens Berthel Askou is among the leading contenders for the Celtic job and, after being spotted at Parkhead for the win against Falkirk, he masterminded a win that could change the course of the entire season.

Celtic hold the cards in the title race and have the wind in their sails going into the four games.

It’s as simple as win all four games and you will be crowned champions. While they face an away trip to Hibs on Sunday, Hearts and Rangers face off against each other.

Should that end in a draw and the Hoops win at Easter Road, they can thank Askou for helping them out.
