With Zlatan Ibrahimovic missing Euro 2020, Sweden boss Janne Andersson had a choice to make.
Ultimately, the Swedish manager chose a Spartak Moscow striker who’ll be incredibly familiar to Celtic fans. The son of the King of Kings, Jordan Larsson, will be making his first senior international tournament.
It’s great news. Confirmed by Swedish journalist Alexandra Jonson, Celtic supporters have shown their delight that Larsson Jr is going to feature at Euro 2020. It’s been quite a couple of years for Larsson, who faced the ignominy of relegation with Helsingborg and a mediocre spell in Holland.
However, since 2019, Larsson has been banging them in. At a very decent level, too.
Henrik’s son has managed a whopping 15 goals in 30 games so far this season [Transfermarkt], making him good value for a goal every other game. That’s sensational form, and his goal-scoring antics have given him a massive international opportunity.

Celtic supporters react to Euro 2020 news
Needless to say, plenty of Celtic supporters reckon the Euro 2020 man should be at Paradise.
After all, it’s meant to be, isn’t it? The son of Henrik Larsson plying his trade where he grew up? From watching his Dad in the stands to sending the Hoops faithful into raptures? For so long it looked like he might not have been good enough, yet now, he’s probably too pricey by our standards.
