TalkSport shock jock Adrian Durham is at it again with another clear dig at Celtic in his “Team of the Decade”.

As we know, it’s been the most successful decade in Celtic’s history. 18 trophies won in total including eight-in-a-row and a historic treble-treble. In addition to that, we also managed a stunning invincible campaign as well as four ventures into the Champions League group stages.

Therefore, you suspect that, at the very least, the vast majority of any Team of the Decade would contain current or indeed former Celtic stars.

Well someone forgot to tell the tiresome Durham. He posted his team on Twitter last night, and as you would predict, it was absolutely embarrassing:

And now for your real team please?

This is genuinely mental stuff from one of the most ridiculously biased sports hosts going. No doubt some from across the city would accuse this piece as being just another part of the “meltdown”. But, in all honesty, it’s simply a mocking of what’s clearly a post out to have a pop at Celtic. Remember, this is a guy that thought Rangers were all that under Mark Warburton (Daily Mail).

Only James Forrest, Virgil van Dijk, and Stuart Armstrong make the cut from Celtic. Yes, the same Celtic who have bossed Scottish football and made an absolute mockery of Rangers over the last decade.

James Tavernier over Mikael Lustig is his first hilarious blunder. The serial loser that is “Tav” could only dream of the silverware our former Swedish international took away with him in the summer. Tavernier also spent years in the lower leagues, whilst Lustig was at Celtic from 2012 to 2019, winning competitions in every single season.

Andy Robertson only played in the top-flight for one season, but if you’re just going on individual quality as opposed to what they have achieved up here then that’s maybe fair enough. But Darren McGregor over the likes of Kristoffer Ajer? Aye okay.

Perhaps his biggest blunder of all is omitting Scott Brown from his team. He’s effectively the king of Scottish football these days, with nobody coming close to the level of success he’s accumulated. He’s captained Celtic to all 18 trophy wins this season, but who’s in ahead of him? John McGinn and Steve Davis. The mind boggles.

Durham didn’t let his team go without one final wisecrack. Kris Boyd and Alfredo Morelos as his strike pairing. We’re not going to bother dissecting that. What an embarrassment, or perhaps Moussa Dembele, Odsonne Edouard, and Leigh Griffiths have just been figments of my imagination?

Celtic fans were never going to let him get away with it either. Reacting on social media to his post, here’s a look at a few of the responses:
