Former footballer and BBC contributor Tam McManus has made an interesting claim that Celtic already have a replacement lined up for the departing Scott Sinclair.
The 38-year-old took to Twitter to inform his followers that Sinclair was to depart the club on Thursday. He also said that Neil Lennon had a new winger ready to come in to Celtic, but that they faced competition from “the other side of Glasgow.”
Do Celtic need a replacement for Sinclair?
While Partick Thistle are rebuilding ahead of a push in the Championship, you still kinda feel it was Rangers that McManus was referring to in his bizarre post.

Some of the replies to the tweet suggest that the player in question is 22-year-old Brandon Barker. The Manchester City youngster played under Neil Lennon at Hibernian in 2017/2018 and could be available for a cut-price deal from the English champions.
A move for Barker wouldn’t go down too well with the majority of the Celtic support. They’d be looking for a player of far higher calibre to replace Sinclair. Celtic have Mikey Johnston performing well in a left-wing berth at present. Yet there’s still a feeling that he could do with a little more competition.

Lewis Morgan played in the 1-1 draw against Cluj but flattered to deceive on the main. The jury is still well out on the Scottish international’s credentials and fans feel we need to replace Sinclair adequately.
