It’s the big one tonight for French giants PSG and Celtic’s famous old nemesis Inter Milan.
Both sides will battle it out in Munich for European football’s greatest prize in a Champions League final nobody can predict with certainty.
PSG are looking to win the competition for the first time in their history, while Inter are seeking their fourth triumph and their first since 2010.
Of course, Celtic denied Inter European Cup glory in 1967 when Jock Stein’s Lisbon Lions won 2-1 to etch their names into Hoops folklore forever.
But current Inter boss Simone Inzaghi will be desperate for his side to be on the right side of history this evening against Luis Enrique’s PSG.
The atmosphere inside the Allianz Arena will be fantastic – but it’s unlikely Inzaghi will be as blown away when he visited Celtic Park almost five years ago now.
Inzaghi’s brilliant assessment of Celtic Park
Inzaghi was manager of Lazio at the time as Celtic hosted the Italian outfit at Parkhead for a Europa League group stage encounter in October 2019.
The Hoops were victorious on the night as they came from behind to win 2-1 thanks to a goal from Ryan Christie and an 89th minute Christopher Jullien winner.
Inzaghi told the Daily Record in the days afterwards that despite the defeat for Lazio, he was mesmerised by the atmosphere inside the stadium.
He said: “The Celtic game is a match I will be telling my children about for many years. In fact, I actually brought my oldest child with me because I knew how good it would be.”
“Yes, we lost to Celtic, but they are a quality team who play at a very high pace and to a very good standard. There’s nothing to be ashamed of.”

Inzaghi’s quote is one for the ages and sits among the hundreds of glowing comments made about Celtic Park from the game’s superstars.
Another famous quote is Jock Stein’s pre-match assessment ahead of his Celtic team facing Inter Milan in the 1967 European Cup final.
It’s extremely unlikely of course, but if Inzaghi is to read this before this evening’s Champions League final, he won’t need any further inspiration.
Stein said: “If you’re ever going to win the European Cup, then this is the day and this is the place.
“We don’t just want to win this cup, we want to do it playing good football – to make neutrals glad we’ve won it, glad to remember how we did it.”
