Ange Postecoglou has sent a passionate message to Celtic supporters as part of the club’s season ticket renewal campaign.
The Bhoys have opened the renewal window for fans to secure their seat for the 2022/23 season, with Postecoglou at the front and centre of the club’s messaging.
Typically, Postecoglou’s message comes across as genuine and written by the man himself, rather than filtered through the PR machine.
The manager said: “Representing Celtic Football Club gives us the opportunity to do remarkable things and to be part of something unique. I love being part of something so special. It was a privilege to be asked to be Celtic Manager and it has been an honour to develop and lead this current team.
“Of course, winning is a huge part of the Club’s identity, but for me it’s not just about winning, it’s about how we win and about the kind of team we aspire to be. It’s about having a strong faith in our ability and a belief in our own style of football.
“We have a way of playing the game which is challenging but offers great rewards and while we have a huge responsibility to deliver results, we want to be a team that excites you, puts a smile on your face and gets you out of your seat. I want my players to enjoy it and I want our fans to enjoy it – together. And by uniting behind this shared vision of what we want to be, we can deliver the success we aim for.
“My philosophy on the pitch is that we never stop. We aim to be relentless in our spirit and in our commitment. Playing attacking, entertaining football won’t always be easy but it will always be worth it. And for me, it will always be worth giving you a team you can be proud of.
“As I say to the players, for 90 minutes it is our responsibility to make you feel good and give you moments to remember. It will always be our way. While prices for a regular season ticket have been increased – mine looks to have gone up by about £30 – Celtic are freezing kids tickets at £50 for the 14th consecutive season.
Season Ticket holders have until 5pm on Thursday, May 12 to secure their seat in Paradise for the 2022/23 season.
That gives most fans a couple of pay cycles to make a decision on their card. I’d expect renewals to be strong given the hype surrounding Postecoglou and his team.
Last year ticket sales were surprisingly high on the back of significant upheaval on and off the pitch. If the manager can keep the team on this unbeaten streak domestically, that’s only going to be more motivation to get on board for another exciting year.
