The brilliant Brown and Soro Celtic dressing room photo from last night

Scott Brown has played his last game as a Celtic player at Celtic Park.

It’s almost bizarre to type that out. For 14 years we’ve enjoyed the combative midfielder in the Hoops but he’s off to Aberdeen and last night was his emotional farewell to Paradise.

He featured in the 4-0 win over St Johnstone and is current preparing for his final, final goodbye against Hibernian at Easter Road on Saturday.

It was a big night for the captain and, perhaps unsurprisingly, he was handed the sponsors man of the match award despite better performances from his teammates!

I’m not mad about that, the occasion demanded it! Besides, we got this brilliant photo of Broony and his midfield teammate Ismaila Soro out of it.

We know Scott has enjoyed a pizza or two over the years. Sometimes that appetite has even made the papers. He’s earned this latest bite.

Soro is also perhaps showing he can be the ebullient force in the dressing room in Brown’s absence.

We know the captain enjoyed laughing and joking around more than most, which is character that will be missing when he heads up to Pittodrie.

Soro has long been pitched his on the field successor given his style of play and position, but perhaps he can provide that light-heartedness behind-the-scenes too.

At the very least, he deserves more opportunities in a Celtic shirt!

In other news, Dominic McKay set for talks with Celtic fan groups.
