The Celtic Fans Collective have stepped up the next stage of their campaign to force change at boardroom level of the club.

The Collective have decided to embark on a series of posts on social media highlighting each Parkhead board member that needs to be removed in order to take the club forward.

With the 2025 Celtic AGM just a matter of one week away, the Collective have focused on non-executive director, Brian Wilson.

And in an announcement on X, the fan group have explained exactly why the Celtic executive is the first on their list.

Celtic Non-Executive Director Brian Wilson told he is ‘no longer capable’

Brian Wilson was a former Labour politician who stepped down from politics in 2004 before taking up the role at Celtic in 2005.

And the Collective believe that after a 20-year involvement at the club, it’s time for Wilson to step aside.

A message from the Collective on X read, “Brian Wilson was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in June 2005 – just weeks after Martin O’Neill’s first spell ended.

“Two decades on, his continued presence on the Celtic board has become impossible to justify.

“At a recent AGM, the majority of shareholders in the room voted against his reappointment, forcing a poll. The message is clear -supporters and shareholders want change.

“The Celtic plc board desperately needs fresh perspective, modern thinking and dynamic leadership. Brian Wilson can deliver none of this.

“After twenty years in post, he is no longer independent and no longer capable of providing meaningful challenge to the CEO or CFO.

“Brian – your time at Celtic has expired.”

Who will the Celtic Fans Collective target next?

The Collective is a collection of Celtic fans from all walks of life which includes fan media, podcasters and supporters clubs.

They have made their voices heard on how they feel about Celtic CEO Michael Nicholson, chairman Peter Lawwell and finance director Chris McKay.

The Collective plan to announce a series of messages to the board members that are under pressure at the club in the run-up to the AGM so any one of these three could be next.
