Celtic captain Callum McGregor has agreed a role with the Celtic Foundation.
The club’s charitable arm shared the good news on Thursday afternoon, with McGregor to become a Foundation Ambassador. (Celtic)
The Ange Postecoglou favourite will take on a leading role in “promoting the work of the Foundation and supporting our fundraising efforts” as the club put it.

Celtic say the move will “further enhance the strong connection” between the Foundation and the football department.
McGregor’s main responsibilities will of course continue to be on the pitch, but this is a move which highlights how important a figure he is at the club nowadays.
The Foundation also announced that their 2023 badge will come in the form of a Hoops shirt with ‘McGregor 42’ proudly displayed on the back.
Fans will be able to pick up the badges prior to our Trophy Day clash against Aberdeen with a minimum donation of £2 requested.
It’s going to be a busy few weeks for McGregor. He’ll be lifting the Premiership trophy above his head in less than ten days time.
A week after that, he could be doing some more lifting with the Scottish Cup and another treble on the line.

All of this couldn’t have happened to a better guy either.
As the song goes: “Callum McGregor, he’s like me and you, he loves Celtic too.”
In other news, there has been some recent speculation about Ange Postecoglou being given a long-term Celtic contract
