A Celtic Select side, thought primarily to be made up of youngsters, will take on a Dundee XI at Dens Park tonight for Cammy Kerr’s Testimonial.

We’re in the midst of a rather dull international break at the moment but the Celtic intrigue never stops and it’ll be interesting to see who takes to the field for this evening’s fixture.

We already know the side will be led by Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus similarly to the squad that travelled to Ayr United for another testimonial fixture in September.

However, that side did feature several players in Brendan Rodgers’ first-team squad including Mikey Johnston, Yuki Kobayashi, Hyeokkyu Kwon and Marco Tilio – getting some much-needed game time.

A number of characters from Dundee’s past are included in the night’s entertainment including Juan Sara, Julian Speroni and Fabian Caballero, along with Ivano and Dario Bonetti. They’re really rolling back the years.

We also know O’Dea will be pulling on a Dundee strip for one last time to get more involved in the match for his mate Kerr.

Elsewhere, former Celtic goalkeeper Rab Douglas is set to represent the Hoops, per an update from the Kerr testimonial committee. [X]

There will be no official stream or live broadcast of the night’s action but tickets in the Dundee end and an away Celtic end are still being sold for the Dens Park clash. Kick-off is at 7:45pm.

With a number of Celtic players and youngsters away on international duty, it’s yet to be seen who exactly takes the field for the Bhoys but hopefully some fringe hopefuls can get in on the action and represent the Bhoys well.
