It’s been almost a decade since Ronny Deila left Celtic as manager.
Nowadays, he is the head coach of Atlanta United in the MLS, but they are currently struggling at the bottom end of the Eastern Conference.
Former Rangers and Celtic striker Kenny Miller is part of his coaching staff, a long time after the pair faced against each other in Glasgow derbies.
Now, in an interview with the Daily Record, Miller has sat down to discuss how Deila views Celtic now and whether he would like to return to Parkhead as boss for a second spell.

Kenny Miller on Deila’s feelings about Celtic now
Miller has explained that Deila still follows the fortunes of Celtic and still has massive love for the club where he spent two years.
Deila was successful at Celtic, winning the league twice and a cup, albeit at a time when Rangers were not in the Scottish Premiership and competing in the lower leagues.
Miller said: “He still tracks Celtic. He’s a football fan, so he’s all over his football. He’s always got a track on what’s happening in his homeland in Norway, what’s happening in the big leagues, but the fact is that Celtic obviously still holds a big place in his heart.
“I think he was well-received at Celtic, he had success there. And these clubs leave a mark when you have success there, especially.”
Would Deila like to manage Celtic again?
Miller was then pressed on whether Deila would be equipped to come back and manage in Scotland, whether that be at Celtic or another side.
It’s extremely unlikely he’d be offered the chance to manage the Hoops again, but Miller has stressed Deila would be much more prepared than last time.
Miller continued: “Could he go back to Scotland again? Maybe. There’s no way of knowing for certain. You see managers go back to their old clubs.
“Neil Lennon’s done it with Celtic. And Ronny has been quite open in saying that he’d be much better prepared now to take the Celtic job and the challenges that come at that level.

“When he was there, he was really young. Since then, he’s managed New York and Atlanta, he’s managed Standard Liege and Club Brugge.
“I think all the experiences he’s had would definitely prepare him to meet a return to Celtic head-on, if it ever happened.
“For now, we’ve both got plenty of big challenges ahead in Atlanta, and I see first-hand how he attacks the job every single day.
“If a return to Scotland ever came about, in his own words, he would be way more ready to deal with the challenges.”
