The Green Brigade have followed up on their early-season promise of a second full-stadium tifo at Celtic Park.

The ultras group have organised several such displays over the years, with the most recent taking place on Flag Day at the start of the campaign.

On that occasion, Celtic Park was fully decked out in glorious green and white ahead of our Premiership opener against Aberdeen.

The Green Brigade had announced to Celtic fans over the summer that the full-stadium tifo would be happening, with the promise for another before the season’s end.

And now they’ve followed up on that in a statement released on the North Curve’s Twitter feed last night.

In it, they announced some financial details before saying: “As we approach the final stages of the season we are planning the second full stadium tifo.

“In order to produce another memorable display, we require similar funding which is why we are relaunching the Tifo Fund.

“In addition to this, and if necessary, we may hold a bucket collection at an upcoming match to ensure costs can be met.”

So we can look forward to another glorious spectacle at Celtic Park, so long as the money is there to do it.

Given that we only have two more home games left after this Saturday, it seems extremely likely that the display will take place prior to Trophy Day.

The SPFL have already announced that the final ‘top six’ fixtures will take place on Saturday 27 May at 12:30pm.

So, presuming we finish the job in the league, there’s a fair chance that Celtic Park will be looking resplendent at around 12:25pm that day.
