Celtic fan group The Green Brigade have unveiled a new ‘Lennon Out’ banner at Lennoxtown as the pressure on manager Neil Lennon grows.

The image was posted on the North Curve Twitter account along with a statement from the group.

They’ve called for Lennon to be removed from his post immediately after promises from the manager and the Celtic board have failed to materialise.

The Bhoys boss had previously said he’d consider his position should result deteriorate rapidly. The club also promised a new year review of his position.

Results and performances have barely improved, with a loss to Rangers, St Mirren and draws against Livingston frustrating fans throughout January.

The outspoken ultras group clearly feel they can no longer sit in silence.

Their views will resonate with a number of supporters.

In recent days, online fans have waged war on the club’s social media accounts with ‘Lennon Out’ images, hijacking almost every post made on the official Twitter account.

Others may feel this is disrespectful, the Celtic support never thinks in unity with its diverse and passionate demographic.

However, Lennon’s continued employment is seen by some as a barrier to Celtic progress, so they’re always going to put the club first.

The Green Brigade will feel they’re acting in the best interests of the club’s future with their Neil Lennon stance.
