Neil Lennon has a few things to consider ahead of next week’s derby clash at Ibrox.
The Celtic boss has the novelty of a full week to prepare his Hoops side for the game against Rangers.
And he may need the majority of it to work out exactly what he’s going to do as we aim to right a few wrongs from previous meetings.
The Ibrox dilemma facing Lennon
The form of both sides makes us undoubted favourites for the clash.
That should dictate that we’re on the offensive from the start of the game, with only victory on our minds.
Leigh Griffiths’ hat-trick yesterday surely makes it very difficult to drop him for the fixture.
And since Odsonne Edouard is virtually undroppable, that makes two up top seem pretty likely.
But we won so convincingly last time at Ibrox, and did so by playing a rather conservative game and striking on the counter attack.
Both of our goals in our 2-0 September win came on the break on a day when defending manfully was the most important thing.
Given that Rangers need to win the game to hold out any slim hopes of a title comeback, and their fans could turn if things are tough, surely it makes more sense for us to frustrate them in the early stages.
But have we been too passive in our last couple of meetings? Is that what cost us defeat in both matches?
Lennon will earn his money this week as he devises a plan that gets it spot on at Ibrox.
Fans won’t complain too much about the method. It’s just the result that matters.
