In terms of celebrity fans, Celtic have a raft of stars who regularly visit Parkhead to watch the Bhoys.
From Holywood star Gerard Butler to Scottish stand-up comedian, Kevin Bridges Celtic are followed by almost every section of celebrity culture as the club’s worldwide appeal draws in huge names.
And one of those huge names has just admitted that he wants to invest in the club just like movie star, Ryan Reynold’s has done with Wrexham.
Snoop Dogg bigs up ‘special’ Celtic fans as American rapper talks about a ‘match made in heaven’
The American rapper has made no secret of his love of the Bhoys as Snoop once told Ange Postecoglou he wanted to party with Celtic if they won the league back in 2022.
Whether he lived up to that promise is not known, however, the worldwide megastar has made clear his wish to invest in Celtic and has named the fans as the big reason for doing so.
Snoop Dogg told the Sunday Mail, “I love what Ryan has done with Wrexham – it’s just a great story.
“Investing in a sports team has been something I have been looking at for a long time – if the chance came to invest in Celtic, I would be crazy not to take a look at it. I have watched so much soccer in Europe but I have never seen fans like the Celtic fans. There is something so special about them.
“There is a reason why their fans are talked about across Europe – the best players and coaches in the world tell you there is nowhere like Celtic Park and I want to be a part of that. Their mascot is a hound – you couldn’t make that up. Snoop Dogg becomes Hoopy the Hound – that’s gotta be a match made in heaven. The headlines write themselves.”

Snoop Dogg’s wealth amid Celtic talk
The American rapper is one of the world’s most recognisable and famous names on the music stage.
Reportedly worth around $160m (£123.5m), Snoop Dogg is said to have earned about $500,000 per day (£385,650) being an official special correspondent at the 2024 Olympics which added over £6.5m to his personal fortune. [Finbold]
And if he decided to plug in much of that cash to Celtic, would the board be up for that? It’s hard to tell but the US superstar does seem intent on at least asking the question.
With Celtic’s financial position extremely strong, more investment into the club would be welcomed by the supporters to help them compete further in the Champions League and hold onto their domestic dominance in Scotland.
