The team to win the league; Celtic Predicted XI vs Dundee United
Tonight’s match away to Dundee United could be a famous one in the history of Celtic Football Club.
Avoiding defeat will make this season’s Scottish Premiership title win official ahead of a trophy day against Motherwell on Saturday.
In reality, that trophy day will arrive regardless, but everyone wants to get this wrapped up as quickly as possible and do it in a bit of style.
What kind of team will manager Ange Postecoglou go with tonight? Here’s our best guess…
Joe Hart will be installed as tonight’s goalkeeper as you’d expect. He’s started 33 of Celtic’s 36 league games so far this season and it’s not going to change now.
A back for of Anthony Ralston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt and Greg Taylor is also likely after Postecoglou’s update that Josip Juranovic still isn’t in team training.
Captain Callum McGregor will be leading from midfield as usual after a stellar performance at home to Hearts on Saturday.
I’m also not expecting any changes ahead of him after Matt O’Riley and David Turnbull did so well against the Edinburgh side too.
In fact, the entire eleven should be the same as the weekend with Jota, Daizen Maeda and Kyogo Furuhashi ready to provide a serious threat as the Celtic front three yet again.
This is a strong attacking eleventh that should have what’s needed to get over the line and put on a show for a buoyant travelling support.
With key talents such as Tom Rogic and Giorgos Giakoumakis also on the bench if needed, we’re set up for a good night on Tayside.
Your Predicted XI in full is: Hart, Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor, McGregor, O’Riley, Turnbull, Jota, Maeda, Kyogo.
