A season many Celtic fans will remember for a very long time.
Yes, it’s not yet over because Celtic have a Scottish Cup final to deal with at the weekend, but this league campaign was outrageous of the highest order.
Daizen Maeda ripped everyone apart during the post-split fixtures, scoring in every game, including the pivotal goal against Hearts on the final day of the season at Parkhead.
But many know Maeda struggled at the start of the campaign, and he wasn’t as consistent as somebody like Kieran Tierney.
Nonetheless, 67 Hail Hail had a look at how Sofascore rated the Celtic players in the Premiership this season, from captain Callum McGregor to hard-hitting centre-back Liam Scales.
Should Celtic hire Jens Berthel Askou as the next manager?

Kieran Tierney top of Celtic’s highest-rated list
For most of the season, Celtic have had problems all over the shop, from back to front, so this isn’t a case that one area of the pitch was the problem.
But it could be argued that the left-back spot, because of Tierney and the unsung loan hero Marcelo Saracchi, was the most consistent.
That’s why Tierney tops Sofascore’s highest-rated list, with Scales and Auston Trusty behind him:
- Tierney’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 7.29
- Scales’ 25/26 Premiership rating: 7.20
- Trusty’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 7.19

Daizen Maeda 12th and Reo Hatate at the bottom of the pile
Benjamin Nygren was Celtic’s top scorer with 16 league goals, including his belting effort against Motherwell at Fir Park on Wednesday night.
The Sweden international was next on the list of highest-rated Celtic players, followed by the man with the armband and, surprisingly, the much-criticised Kasper Schmeichel.
Perhaps, to nobody’s surprise, Reo Hatate finished bottom, with a rating of 6.68.
While Maeda was underwhelming for large parts of the season, at least when it absolutely mattered most, he turned up and wrote his name into the legendary books.
- Nygren’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 7.18
- McGregor’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 7.10
- Schmeichel’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 7.04
- Saracchi’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 7.03
- Yang’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 6.92
- Tounekti’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 6.88
- Ralston’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 6.87
- Forrest’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 6.85
- Maeda’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 6.79
- Engels’ 25/26 Premiership rating: 6.74
- McCowan’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 6.72
- Hatate’s 25/26 Premiership rating: 6.68
