Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic may not be due to return to action until mid-January – but things should get very lively in a few days.

The Hoops players will be back in training in the coming days and ready to kick-off the second-half of the season.

While Dubai isn’t on the menu this year, we should still get plenty of training and behind-the-scenes content from the club on their official channels.

All of that, plus players returning from injury (one per day would be great, thanks) and a whole lot of transfer speculation.

The fortnight before our game against Hibernian will fly in.

That final sentence is actually a reminder that we’re not too far away from Celtic returning.

It may seem like we’ve just kicked off the winter break, but in just two and a half weeks from now we’ll be watching Ange’s men back out there.

Given that we’re still short on fit attackers – with David Turnbull and Jota out – we could really do with getting some new signings over the line nice and early.

Japanese signings are likely to need to go through quarantine – meaning that they may not be able to meet their team-mates for some time yet.

But that will add another layer to what should be an exciting start to 2022.

No fixtures immediately on the horizon, but plenty to get our teeth into.
