Celtic still seem to be in a state of flux following the departure of Brendan Rodgers to join Leicester City. Neil Lennon is the current interim manager, but we don’t yet know if he will be Hoops boss next season.
The situation with many of the Hoops players is as yet unknown as well. Once the manager is confirmed he can get down to business for next season. But for now, there has to be a doubt over the future of some players at the club.
Here we have a look at three players whose future at the club must be in doubt.
1. DANIEL ARZANI

The on-loan from Manchester City winger has been the victim of unfortunate circumstances. He made his debut against Dundee, looked tidy, but suffered a cruciate ligament injury and is out for the rest of the season. It will be intriguing to see how much football he plays next season. The Hoops have a lot of wingers, and it will be difficult for the player to force his way into the team. His immediate task is just to get back to full fitness, and the player can take things from there.
2. EBOUE KOUASSI

Another player whose season has ended due to an injury. The player had forced his way into the Hoops midfield due to injuries. But when everybody is fit, he is unlikely to start for the Hoops. Perhaps Neil Lennon, if he gets the job, can mould Kouassi into a player. But after two years at the club you would have expected the player to have made the breakthrough by now. A loan move next season could suit the player.
3. JONNY HAYES

This is a mystery. Hayes had finally managed to get a run of games in the team, but hasn’t featured once under Neil Lennon. It is perhaps a bit ominous that when Scott Sinclair was subbed against Aberdeen, and James Forrest moved into the middle, Hayes didn’t get on to have a chance on the wing. He might feature sparingly in the run-in to the end of the season. At the moment though, Hayes looks set to be a squad player at best for the Hoops.
