Three things we want to find out from Neil Lennon on Friday

Neil Lennon will meet press for the first time in almost a fortnight on Friday as he answers questions ahead of our clash against Livingston.

It’s been a brutally long international break, if we’re honest, and we’ll all just be glad to have Celtic back in our lives on Saturday.

While the team have been away, there have been a few stories that have broken in the press. In the absence of any press conference with Lennon, these stories have been allowed to rumble on with speculation rife.

But they could all be addressed on Friday. Here are three things we want to find out from the Celtic boss ahead of the Livingston clash.

What’s the script with Elyounoussi?

The Premiership Player of the Month for October was sent home from his native Norway’s international squad during the break. Early indications were that his foot injury could keep him out for an extended period of time but the winger soon played those fears down in an interview with the Scotsman.

However, many fans will still want to hear the exact situation from Lennon, who is sure to be asked. With so many big games just around the corner, we could really do with having the Southampton loanee back as soon as possible.

How far away is Griffiths?

While Scotland were stuttering to victory over Kazakhstan on Tuesday, Leigh Griffiths was battering in a double for the Celtic Reserves in a 6-0 drubbing of Stenhousemuir.

Griffiths hasn’t played a minute of football since August but many feel that he’s needed back to take the pressure of Odsonne Edouard. With a hectic six week schedule just beginning, the forward’s return could also be a topic of conversation at Friday’s presser.

Something hasn’t quite met the eye regarding Griffiths’ return this season. Hopefully Lennon can shed a little light on when he is expected back on Friday.

Are we keen to extend Arzani’s contract?

Earlier this week, Australian outlet The World Game reported that Celtic were keen to extend Daniel Arzani’s loan deal for another year. The Aussie joined on a two-year deal from Manchester City at the start of last season but he has only made one appearance thus far due to a cruel ACL injury suffered on his debut.

It will be interesting to hear if the reports are correct and, if so, where Lennon sees Arzani fitting in to his future plans.
