Celtic are heading for Dublin again later this month, with a friendly against Wolves now confirmed.
The club made the announcement on Wednesday morning, with the fixture taking place at the Aviva Stadium at 2pm on Saturday 29 July.
It’s the team’s first visit to Dublin since 2018 and our first at the home of the Irish national team since 2016.
As you’ll no doubt be aware, the city can be pretty expensive. From accommodation to a pint of Guinness, you can expect to pay a hefty amount.
This may be even more applicable to the Celtic support’s jaunt there later in the month, for a few reasons.
It may not have escaped your notice that the game is in just 17 days time. That’s not a huge amount of time to try to fill a 50,000 stadium.

That late notice is likely to increase the costs of travel and hotels for both Celtic and Wolves supporters, especially when the All-Ireland Football Final is on at Croke Park that weekend.
Tickets are said to start at €35 for adults and €20 for under-16s with the most expensive costing €85. (Balls.ie)
Those prices are probably a little on the steep side for a friendly, but they are small-fry in comparison to the other fees Celtic fans may have to shell out.
Return flights from Glasgow to Dublin on the day of the game are anything from £218 to £312 (Skyscanner). That’s a pretty large cost for an uncompetitive match.

If supporters want to stay in Dublin for a few days, accommodation could cost similar.
Of course, Celtic do have a big following in Ireland and Wolves should be a decent draw as well. It’s great that we’re playing a match in Dublin again after five years, and many locals will turn out.
Whether the Aviva is anything close to approaching full or not though, we’ll have to wait and see.
