Kieran Tierney looks set to finally make his long-awaited return to the Celtic first-team. The left-back has been out of action since December with a hip injury.
However, the Daily Record have revealed the Hoops’ provisional squad list for the match against Motherwell on Sunday and Tierney is included.

Boost ahead of pivotal week
Tierney’s return to first-team action will be a colossal boost for all at Celtic Park. Coming ahead of what looks to be a pivotal week in the quest to win a third consecutive domestic treble.

The Hoops face Motherwell and Hearts in the title race, followed by a Scottish Cup trip to Hibernian.
Manager will be cautious
Naturally, Brendan Rodgers will want to be cautious with Tierney, for fear of his injury returning. Therefore, he does not have to start the game against Motherwell. A cameo of around 30 minutes would be ideal.

Should he come through the Motherwell test with no issues, he should be considered for a start against Hearts.
The trip to Tynecastle will be one of the toughest games the Hoops have in the remainder of the season. It requires a strong team to win there, which is why it would help hugely to have Tierney back in the side.
Recently, Jonny Hayes has done well filling in at left-back. But Tierney is on a completely different level to him. The Hoops have missed him, and his return has come at the best possible moment.
