Read MoreTim Cahill sends class message to Celtic and Postecoglou
Celtic are getting an incredibly dedicated manager in Ange Postecoglou, says Australian legend Tim Cahill.
Cahill, who was a regular fixture in the Premier League from 2004 to 2012, amassed over 100 caps for the Socceroos. During that time, he worked under Postecoglou, competing in the 2014 World Cup, and winning the Asian Cup in 2015. In both tournaments, he struck thrice for Ange’s Australia.
Now, he’s viewing his former gaffer take on arguably his biggest job yet. Postecoglou has already had to overcome plenty of doubt in Europe, due to his lack of experience in the continent. However, his title wins with Brisbane Roar and Yokohama F Marinos give him an excellent grounding.
After his first press conference today, Cahill sent the follow tweet;
Good luck Ange. Wishing you all the best on this new chapter. You will see a manager that will give his heart and soul for Celtic football Club. https://t.co/4YevBWvzUq

Thanks Tim, I now have “Heart and Soul” on a loop in my head.
This is a pretty great endorsement, though. Cahill, you could argue, carries the same weight in Australian football as someone like Kenny Dalglish would here. He’s a bona fide Socceroos legend, and an experienced campaigner with nearly a decade’s worth of experience in the Premier League. He’s played under all sorts of managers, and as someone surely following a coaching path himself, it can only be a good thing.
When Tim Cahill speaks, Australian football fans listen – his words on Postecoglou matter
On the 67 Hail Hail Youtube channel, as well as on these pages, we’ve seen a huge uptick in visitors from Australia and Japan. That says something about the growing interest in Celtic due to Postecoglou’s arrival.
So, to have the continued recommendation of one of Australia’s greats doesn’t count for nothing. And, as you can expect, there were some keen admirers of his in his replies, giving some sound career advice:
Fantastic that Ange is having a crack now in Europe. Lets hope the players gives Ange the same respect back.
