Former Celtic loan star Timothy Weah couldn’t help himself yesterday as he continued his Parkhead love affair on social media.
As the Hoops celebrated their eighth consecutive Premiership title yesterday, Weah was watching back home. The USA international was sent home by Neil Lennon, according to the player himself (Instagram).
But despite that, he hasn’t been shy in coming out with positive remarks about Celtic since. And yesterday on his Instagram page, Weah uploaded another two images full of support for the Hoops.

They were both uploaded to the youngster’s Instagram story. One read “Congrats to the club – players – fans. Always a Celt”. He then followed it up with another image congratulating Mikey Johnston on his performance. You can view them for yourself here.
Weah clearly isn’t forgetting about Celtic in a hurry. He also posted an image last week before the Glasgow derby showing his support for the Bhoys. The image is no longer available as he posted it to his Instagram story. But he’s clearly caught the Parkhead bug, and it looks as though he remains a big supporter.
Celtic must be in a good place to strike for him
Weah’s emotional attachment to Celtic will hopefully play a key part in him potentially returning. PSG are willing to listen to offers for the USA international (AS), and the Hoops should really test the waters here.

He may only have made four starts during his time here since January, but if we’re all being truthful, he should’ve had way more than that. Weah has some serious potential in his locker, and has proven he can terrorise the Premiership.
During Celtic’s 11-game domestic winning run between January and March, Weah was at the heart of it. He was part of that fresh injection that helped give Celtic more of an edge domestically. It’s effectively what won us the Premiership title too, with Rangers unable to reel us in afterward.

Speculation has also been hotting up in recent weeks too. Premiership interest has been on the agenda (Scottish Sun), but Weah clearly still loves the Hoops. He’s already opened up on coming back to Celtic next season (The Scotsman).
If there’s even any chance of that, Celtic have to try and make it happen.
