Tom Rogic could be given a massive opportunity to impress when Celtic travel to Pittodrie this Sunday.
The Aussie playmaker has had to bide his time so far this season, making just two starts. Both of those have come at Celtic Park – against Partick Thistle and Ross County – so it’s fair to suggest that the clash against Aberdeen could be his biggest of the season so far.

The 26-year-old didn’t offer a great deal when he was brought on as a sub in Thursday’s win over Lazio. Rogic still looks like a player trying to find his feet, and his languid style doesn’t come across too well when he’s struggling to get involved in a game.
In his defence, we were 1-0 down when he was brought on against the Italians. But that’s clutching at straws a little.

Rogic needs to perform at Pittodrie
Aberdeen could be the ideal opposition at the ideal time for Rogic. The magician has scored five goals against the Dons in his time, more than any club other than Rangers (also five). If he can add to that tally on Sunday then he could really get his season up and running at long last.

Rogic hasn’t scored a league goal since Halloween of last year when he netted a screamer on the road against Dundee. As he travels to the East coast once again near this Halloween, he could really reinvent himself.
We’ll lose a lot in the absence of Ryan Christie on Sunday. The Scotsman offers us something both in and out of possession that Rogic simply doesn’t. But a Tom Rogic at the top of his game will cause any side problems. Hopefully that is what we see at Pittodrie.
