Former Celtic hero Tony Watt has taken to social media to make a bold prediction about recent Hoops arrival Fraser Forster.

Forster recently returned to Celtic on a season long loan deal and Watt, who played with Forster in the legendary 2-1 win over Barcelona back in 2012, believes that Forster can become a ‘legend’ at Celtic.

Watt made this comment after Forster recently made the claim that Scott Brown and James Forrest are legends at Celtic.

Watt agreed with Forster’s claims, but he believes that if Forster stays at Celtic for another three or four years, he too will be a Hoops legend.

“It’s true, if he stays another 3/4 years Forster could end up being one too!” Watt said on Twitter.

The chances of Forster staying at Celtic will depend on the Hoops agreeing a deal with his current club Southampton.

It could be argued that Forster’s first spell at Celtic has already made him a legend. The goalkeeper was a key man for the Hoops in the aforementioned win over Barcelona.

He also set a league record for minutes without conceding a goal. He could add to his status at Celtic by helping the Hoops clinch nine in a row this season.

Forster looks set to face his first test in the Hoops when Celtic take on Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday. Should he manage to keep a clean sheet in that game, he will be a hero to Celtic fans everywhere.

It will also set the Hoops up for the rest of the season, a season in which Forster could play a big part.
