Tony Watt has fought back against the bizarre Scottish Premiership team of the decade named by radio presenter Adrian Durham, admitting “you’ve got a bite from me”.
The talkSPORT anchor, who’s famous for a wind-up, created a storm of controversry on New Year’s Day as he named his team of Scottish top-flight stars from 2010 to the end of 2019.

He received special criticism for including the likes of Darren McGregor and Kris Boyd in his team while Moussa Dembele, Leigh Griffiths and Victor Wanyama all missed out.
And while Barcelona hero Watt was aware of the nature of Durham’s fishing trip, he still waded in by mentioning both Dembele and Scott Sinclair as players that should’ve been included.
Durham has received the reaction he probably craved
Somewhere down south, Durham will be licking his lips. The mouthy radio jock has done it again. He really did get a reaction out of everyone.
His team can’t be serious in the slightest. Nobody with any sort of football intelligence would have had Darren McGregor ahead of Dedryck Boyata at centre-back. Or Kris Boyd in front of Moussa Dembele.

He posted the team just to create some controversy and raise a little awareness of his show on talkSPORT. And he’s succeeded.
With no football until the second half of the month we may be seeing a lot more of this kind of stuff on our various media platforms. And given our recent derby result, many will be keen to kick us while we’re down.
Meanwhile, the Celtic squad will be away working vigilantly to get things back on track. Then we’ll be the ones laughing very soon.
