Celtic’s domination of Scottish football and Rangers has put Ibrox boss, Philippe Clement under severe pressure at his club.
Every Celtic and Rangers fan knows that if you don’t beat your rivals, win trophies and dominate then the lifespan of a manager at either of the clubs is going to be relatively short.
In the last Glasgow Derby, Celtic beat Rangers in the League Cup final to overtake the Ibrox club as Scotland’s most successful club.
The New Year derby will be Philippe Clement’s seventh chance to beat Celtic after losing 5 of the last six as Rangers manager.
However, Ross McCormack has said that despite the Belgian being under ‘severe pressure’ at Rangers, he is lucky that his next fixture is against Celtic.
Philippe Clement told he would have been sacked if Rangers were not playing Celtic next
McCormack told The Scottish Football Podcast [4m 50s], “[Clement is under] severe pressure, to be honest with you. “Yeah, I think he’s probably… I look at it and probably and say that he’s lucky about two things.
“I think it’s the Old F-rm game next. If it wasn’t the Old F-rm game next, I think they could have made a change after this game today. But I don’t think they can do that before an Old F-rm game.

“Too much havoc will be caused. I know Rangers fans won’t agree with this but the difference in coming back from 2-0 down and getting 2-2, you can get a lot more positives out of that than you can if you got beat.”
