The Tottenham Hotspur support have been showering the praise on to new Celtic signing Joe Hart after his move to Parkhead was finalised today.
Hart has signed for the Hoops on a three-year deal after a season playing as back-up to Hugo Lloris at Spurs.
The English veteran only made 10 appearances for the North London club last term. He conceded eight goals and bagged five clean sheets respectively [Transfermarkt].
But there’s no denying his role at Spurs was clear from the off. After leaving Burnley he was never going to hop right into the number one spot under Jose Mourinho. Hart knew what he signed up for, and the Tottenham fans knew what his position in the squad would be.

What’s so encouraging about the Spurs fans’ reaction to Hart’s move is how much of a leader he appeared to be in the dressing room.
He’s been praised for helping to nurture the club’s young players as well as his positive attitude behind the scenes. It’s no secret at Celtic this season we’re going to need characters who fit that kind of mould.
As much as we’ve been lacking quality in the goalkeeping position, we’ve also been missing leadership figures. Outside of Callum McGregor, it’s difficult to see who else can be identified as an authority figure in the dressing room.
Hart comes in and instantly becomes of those figures. Not just because of the role he played at Spurs, but because of the experience and titles he’s won throughout his career.
