Two upcoming Celtic fixtures in the Scottish Premiership have been moved to lunchtime kick-offs.

Neil Lennon’s Bhoys travel to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen on Sunday 25th October, a few short days after hosting AC Milan at Celtic Park.

It was originally due to proceed at 3pm but has been moved to 12 pm so Sky Sports can provide live coverage.

Later, on Sunday 8th November, our match against Motherwell at Fir Park has also been moved to a 12 pm kick-off.

That one comes directly after a Thursday clash against Sparta Prague at Paradise.

Neither changes are ideal but that’s reality when it comes to the broadcaster’s TV deal.

Fortunately, neither fixture is away from home, meaning Celtic won’t have to contend with long trips across pandemic-struck Europe before playing Sunday lunchtime football.

The team’s record after European fixtures is actually quite impressive. However, last year, one of only two league defeats came after a home win over CFR Cluj.

We can’t afford slip-ups like that just now with rivals Rangers also unbeaten in the Scottish top-flight so far this season.

Lennon has a fantastic squad at his disposal though and, hopefully, that depth serves us well during a heavy period of upcoming fixtures.

In other news, two rarely seen Celtic youngsters have been spotted in Lennoxtown training this week.
