UEFA have posted a clip of Odsonne Edouard’s magical finishing ability today, asking via the official Europa League Twitter account just how highly supporters rate him.
The goal shown off was the Frenchman’s deft chip away to Copenhagen in our ill-fated Round of 32 tie against the Danish outfit earlier this year.
Cool as you like from Odsonne Édouard 🍀

Unfortunately despite that effort contributing towards a creditable away draw, the Hoops would go on to blow the two-legged affair after a 3-1 defeat at Celtic Park.
Nonetheless, it’s a goal that again demonstrated Edouard is more than comfortable competing at knockout European level.
His strike that night was part of an impressive 28 goal haul in total, with 19 assists complementing that tally in 45 appearances.
It’s a season that has likely put him on the radar of many clubs around Europe.
Suitors will know he has both the current ability and future potential to make an impact in bigger leagues than the Scottish Premiership.
From our perspective, of course, there is a desperation for him to stay and lead our ten-in-a-row charge next season.
Perhaps unhelpful then for UEFA to be so publicly platforming his ability to their 6.9m followers on that account!
Celtic fans showed typical humour in the replies, however, trying to divert eyes away from Edouard onto less impressive attacking talents at Celtic Park such as Vakoun Bayo.
If no-one knows about Edouard, nobody will buy him this summer.
Unfortunately, it won’t be that simple but supporters tried their best anyway, amusingly reacting on Twitter today…
That’s clearly Bayo scoring that goal. He’s twice the player if Edouard who is extremely lazy. Wouldn’t have French Eddy anywhere near the first team🙄
