Celtic favourites Jota and Reo Hatate were roped into a Super Bowl themed video by the club at training this week, becoming involved in the social media hype surrounding tomorrow’s big game.

The LA Rams and Cincinnati Bengals face off at the SoFi Stadium tomorrow evening for the top honour in American Football – a fixture that will be watched by millions around the world.

Celtic clearly fancied getting in on the build-up, tasking Jota and Hatate with the #NFLKeepyUp challenge, which has been promoted by the league’s UK marketing wing.

Japanese star Hatate set a reasonable benchmark with 20 keepy ups of an NFL ball, but it was Jota who stole the show with an impressive 36 before giving up.

I’m confident no-one on the field tomorrow would be able to deftly control the ball with their feet as well as these two!

Celtic actually have a link to Super Bowl success. Lawrence Tynes, a two-time Super Bowl champion with the New York Giants is actually a Celtic fan!

In December, Tynes even shared that legendary Bhoys captain Paul McStay was one of his idols as a young athlete.

I’m not sure there are any links to the Bhoys in tomorrow’s line-up, but fans will get to enjoy the talents of Cooper Kupp, Aaron Donald, Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase amongst others.

For what it’s worth, I’m rooting for the underdog Bengals.

In other news, John McGinn and Kieran Tierney pay tribute to Celtic hero in viral video.
