As Celtic look to retain their title for a second year running under Ange Postecoglou, there will be a lot of work going on behind the scenes.
This summer, preparations for the 2022/23 campaign have been slightly different for the Celtic manager and his playing squad.
The Bhoys were handed more time during the summer to work on the training ground due to their automatic involvement in the UEFA Champions League.
Preparations got underway for the new season at the beginning of July, with Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff looking to fully utilise their time in training.
Alongside a trip to Austria, the Hoops have also been getting to work at the brilliant training facilities up at Lennoxtown.
At a club like Celtic, the facilities and equipment within the club’s training base must always be evolving and taken to the next level, particularly with the return to the Champions League this year.
It appears that in recent months, a lot of work has been done to improve the gym set-up at Lennoxtown, which has been showcased in a recent video posted by Primal Strength.
In partnership with Celtic, the company which specialises in strength and conditioning gym equipment helped create a ‘high performance space’ that supports not only the first team squad but also those within the academy.
The impressive new set-up, which homes a whole host of professional gym equipment, can be seen in a recent video posted on the Primal Strength YouTube channel. The video can be checked out here.
Within the video, supporters can hear from the likes of First team Fitness and Conditioning coach John Currie, as well as first-team stars Callum McGregor, Joe Hart and Carl Starfelt, describing the benefits of this high-quality set-up at Lennoxtown.
It is really interesting to take a closer look into the sort of preparations that Ange Postecoglou’s squad must go through on a weekly basis to stay fit and raring to go for the entire season.
As Celtic supporters are all aware by now, the strength and condition of the 57-year-old’s squad is absolutely essential in the style of play that the manager is looking to play.
So, it is great to see that the club are striving to improve the facilities being utilised in the training ground in order to achieve more success.
