Celtic supporters love an away day, we love Ange Postecoglou, and we appreciate our Bhoys beating Hearts, regardless of the occasion.

However, tonight was a particularly hard-fought encounter. Though the first-half was at times a masterclass in dominating possession, the second was a far nervier affair. Liam Boyce scored once, and could have had two, had he not missed a penalty.

It’s Celtic who have the spoils, though. And the lads could be seen enjoying themselves with the adoring Hoops fans at Tynecastle.

Via Celtic fan and musician Kevin McGuire, here are the Hoops fans making noise for the Bhoys:

What a night. Sometimes, it’s the nail-biters, the difficult nights where we prevail, that are even sweeter than 5 or 6-0 scorelines. This was a game in a hostile atmosphere, that required huge performances to see off a hungry Hearts side.

Giakoumakis and Hatate were the goal-scorers, both stylishly taken goals. For Hatate, he opened the scoring with a wicked shot from 30 yards out and past Craig Gordon. Giakoumakis made it two with a delicious flick underneath the ex-Celtic goalkeeper.

Thankfully, that was enough. And it’s the Celtic fans and players dancing tonight.

Fans rejoice at watching Glasgow Celtic, putting on a show

There’s just something a bit different about games against Hearts. It’s not quite a European game, or beating Rangers, but in terms of satisfying results? Beating the Jambos is surely right up there.

Let’s make no mistake; Celtic were up against it. The manager had a range of excuses in his arsenal, if he wanted to ever use them. We were missing each of our regular midfielders. Injuries, international breaks, you name it. You’d have been forgiven for a few nerves ahead of a Tynecastle away trip.

Yet here the fans are, absolutely jubilant. So too, the players, after a huge win.

We’ve seen scenes like this against Motherwell, against Aberdeen, Hibs and more. The players’ utter enthusiasm has come back under Ange Postecoglou. These celebrations after important away wins has become a hallmark of this campaign. Seeing the lads dancing after Celtic beat Hearts just feels right.

The belief is back. Fans are back, the songs are back. It feels like business as usual.

If Celtic keep winning, then even more so.
