Former Celtic talent Ben Doak continues to capture attention in the Liverpool ranks, his latest contribution being a stunning solo winning goal against Rangers in the UEFA Youth League this afternoon.
The scores were level at 3-3 ten minutes from time in today’s European tie, before Doak scored a terrific goal with the outside of his boot after bamboozling the home defence with his dribbling.

It’s Doak’s fifth goal of the season in all competitions, also impressing in the U18 Premier League with assists and tricky attacking play. The young attacker also scored against Rangers in the first meeting between the two sides last week.
He is additionally making progress within the Scotland national team set-up, already featuring for the U21 side well ahead of schedule.
The teenager left Celtic earlier this year despite initial exposure to first-team football at the club, even featuring off the bench in a senior derby against the Ibrox side.
The cross-border deal was not a good one for the Bhoys, but many will still want Doak to do well down in England as a product of the academy at Lennoxtown.
Doak isn’t the only prospect to leave Celtic for more illustrious leagues in recent years, something that Ange Postecoglou, Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus will change over time.
So far, you can say that the youngster has made a bad decision on a personal level. He’s being exposed to a truly elite set-up at Liverpool and is rapidly making a name for himself with their supporters.
