The Celtic Supporter Liason Officer has shared fantastic footage of supporters getting right behind the team tonight in tough conditions.

Celtic were not easy to watch from the comfort of home this evening, never mind in the freezing cold of the Arctic circle after a difficult journey to northern Norway.

John Paul Taylor paid tribute on social media to the small band of hardy fans who made the trip this evening, as they sang in support of Ange Postecoglou and his Bhoys.

As the sleet and wind batter them, with the team on the receiving end of a heavy aggregate defeat, they didn’t waver with their noise and colour. That’s what being a Celtic supporter is all about for these folks.

Sadly the performance of the team didn’t match it and that’s something Ange Postecoglou will need to address next season in European competition.

Fair play to Bodo/Glimt, they fully deserve to progress tonight based on the two legs. However, the resources of Celtic should dictate we perform much better against Scandinavian opposition going forward. That has to be a long-term aim.

For now the focus resumes on the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup. There are still two trophies up for grabs this season and we have to put tonight’s disappointment behind us quickly.

The passion of supporters home and away will be no less than what we witness in the footage above. Fans are absolutely desperate for more major success under Ange Postecoglou and the team have the chance to deliver that.

Let’s hope better times are on the way.
