Three pre-season matches, and three goals. Many Celtic fans are really excited about what is to come from their new summer signing.
While the Celtic Park faithful laud and applaud Duran’s goals in pre-season, Viljami Sinisalo looks at it differently.
Sinisalo has been a regular in pre-season this summer, and he wanted to highlight Duran’s ‘work-rate’ and how he is the one who ‘starts the press’, which is making him popular amongst his teammates, as he told his Celtic press conference.

“It’s not just his goals, but you can see the work rate,” said Sinisalo. “He is the one starting the press.
“When you have someone like that, starting the press, everyone else follows. It’s so important. He has done so well. Three goals in three games, you can’t really wish for a better start. He has done really well, and long may that continue.
“It’s the work other than the goals that everyone appreciates, especially the players that you play with. That’s the work that doesn’t go unnoticed.”

Finally, Celtic have learnt their lesson from last season’s Kairat Almaty nightmare.
By the time those games come about, Duran would have been more than settled in, added to the fact that Kasper Hogh should be signed up.
Now, Hogh has been playing domestic football in Norway, so in that sense, his body has been going through the physical rigours.
Either way, whoever Celtic play in the Champions League qualifiers, the forward line will be well and truly ready to tear apart whoever is put in front of them.
One thing is for sure, you won’t get two goalless draws this time around, because the firepower is now there, freshened up and ready to fire.
Yes, Celtic still need to do a bit more work in the transfer market, but the club is heading in the right direction, and that is the most important part.
