Andy Robertson certainly remembers the free-kick scoring exploits of Virgil Van Dijk at Celtic – if a recent video is anything to go by.
While the Dutchman was an imperious defender in his time in Glasgow, he also knew how to contribute in an attacking sense too.
Who can forget his majestic solo goal against St. Johnstone? Or the emphatic set-pieces against Hibernian, Dundee and the like.
Well not Robertson, it seems, as a video surfaced of the Scotland captain shouting encouragement to his Liverpool team-mate during Melwood training.

Robertson is heard shouting: “C’mon Virg! Just like your Celtic days. Top corner.”
The Dutchman then, rather predictably, rattles the ball right into the corner of the net leading to some audible celebrations from Robertson.

Will we see a Van Dijk free-kick this season?
You do wonder how often Celtic come up in the conversations between Robertson and Van Dijk at Liverpool.
The former’s status as a Hoops fan is well documented and you need only visit his Twitter feed whenever we’re playing a big game to see his thoughts.

Given that Van Dijk enjoyed such a good time at Parkhead, and the duo are seemingly so close, they must enjoy a chat about life at Celtic from time to time.
That’s why many would be delighted to see them lifting the English Premier League title at the end of this season, as fellow champions alongside ourselves.
It just remains to be seen whether Van Dijk’s immense free-kicks will be unleashed down south, just like they were up here.
