Some brilliant post-match footage is coming out of Easter Road after Celtic secured a monumental 3-1 win in Leith this evening.
Goals from Anthony Ralston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, and Kyogo Furuhashi had the Hoops leading 3-0 on the half-hour mark. A Martin Boyle consolation threatened to make a game of it, but Celtic showed fine control of the game to move up to second and go just 2 points behind Rangers.
And as the Celtic players enjoyed the win post-match, footage has emerged of those brilliant celebrations after the game. Take a look at the video below as Joe Hart is captured handing out his gloves and shirt to young supporters:
We’ve seen similar celebrations in recent weeks at the likes of Pittodrie and Fir Park respectively. You can really sense the momentum being built by the club after we secured our 5th consecutive win in all competitions.
It’s also a cert that we’re now seeing the true importance of the Celtic supporters. Would we have produced such a scintillating first-half display like that without them? Not a chance.
You can feel the energy that connects the Celtic players and supporters. There’s a bond growing here that we haven’t felt since the invincible team in 2016/17.
Celtic tick off another major test in Edinburgh
This is just brilliant stuff. When things were looking bleak over the course of September, it was a run like this we desperately needed. A run that Postecoglou could reflect on and know in his own mind that it’ll be a turning point.
Everyone looked at our last 3 away games and envisaged a nightmare scenario. We were supposed to drop points at Pittodrie. We were supposed to slip-up at Motherwell. Our 7-year hoodoo at Easter Road was meant to continue. The title should’ve more or less had blue and white ribbons on it by now.
Yet the honest truth is that Celtic are closer to Rangers than they’ve been at any stage this season. Not in terms of points, but just in terms of the general quality and stage in which both clubs are at. We’re breathing down their necks and they don’t like it one bit.

But of course the pressure never stops when you have the luxury of being a Celtic player. Saturday’s home game against Livingston is the next challenge on the radar. 3 points there is another must as we look to hit the top of the table once more. The symbolism of that achievement shouldn’t be underestimated.
Finally, a word on Hart for his post-match gesture in handing over his gear to young supporters. If anyone represents what this football club is all about, it’s the former Manchester City and Tottenham star. He’s a credit to Celtic and we’re lucky to have him.
All in all, a brilliant night’s work once again.
