Celtic invincible Scott Sinclair manager to net an outrageous 35-yarder for Preston North End last night in their match against Bournemouth.
Sinclair has been in decent form for the Championship club this season, but ended a four-game barren run with the most incredible of efforts against the high flyers.
Preston took home a vital 3-2 win, which took them up to 14th, whilst Bournemouth remained in second behind Norwich City. And Sinclair’s incredible moment came on the 49th minute when North End were already 1-0 ahead.
Picking up the ball just inside the opposition penalty area, Sinky took on his man before expertly lobbing Bournemouth stopper Asmir Begovic and finding the net in stupendous fashion. You can see it for yourself below:
Probably sums up how things are going for us
Now, undoubtedly, if Sinclair tried this at Celtic when he was into his final 12 months with the club, he would’ve tripped over his own feet and sent the ball out for a shy. That’s just what confidence does for you.
It probably sums up how things are going for us that players we’ve decided to move on in recent times are coming up with sublime pieces of magic. You also have the likes of Lewis Morgan who’s been competing in the MLS playoffs with Inter Miami. It’s incredible the success some of our departing players are having.
Then again, Sinclair will still want to bulk up his numbers as the season goes on. His strike last night made it six direct goal contributions in 17 games (Transfermarkt). That’s despite the fact the former Celtic winger is playing on a weekly basis.

Sinclair was Celtic’s top goalscorer throughout our incredible Treble Treble success, and in total managed to contribute directly to a superb 96 goals in 167 appearances for the club. His record here won’t ever be forgotten.
He was, effectively, the MVP when Brendan Rodgers came in and revolutionised the club back in 2016. Sinclair wasn’t just another decent signing, he was THE signing at Celtic that year – regardless of the form Moussa Dembele was on that year too. His Celtic career will always be remembered as one that turned this club around after the Ronny Deila days.
It’s still extremely pleasing to see him come up with ridiculous moments like last night, even if some of us will be wishing he was still plying his trade here.
In other news, a key Lennoxtown duo have been slammed by Chris Sutton for their negative effect.
