Emotional behind-the-scenes footage of Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic’s final moments with the Celtic squad before their exit has emerged on social media.
Both Bitton and Rogic were a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s side that delivered the Scottish Premiership and Premier Sports cup last campaign.
Having suffered such disappointment the previous season, it was an incredible way for the Celtic duo and their long-serving teammates to bounce back.
Although the two Celtic midfielders had the opportunity to remain at the club this coming season, Bitton and Rogic chose to end their days at Parkhead on a high, lifting the title at Paradise in May.
It was an emotional afternoon for both men, who have contributed massively to one of the Hoops’ most successful spells in our modern history.
After serving the Bhoys for around nine years, the Celtic midfielders were visibly emotional as they said their final goodbyes to their playing days at Parkhead.
Now, both players have moved on to new opportunities, with Bitton playing his football back in Israel, whilst Rogic has recently signed for English Championship team West Brom.
Although all parties have now moved on, that sunny day at Celtic Park is likely to be one cherished by all those involved for years to come.
And recently, supporters were able to relive that moment when new behind-the-scenes footage emerged of Bitton and Rogic’s final moments as part of the Celtic squad.
Footage released on social media from the club’s recent season review DVD from the 2021/22 campaign showcases both players saying their final goodbyes to their Celtic teammates.
The two players were clearly popular figures, not only in the stands but also in the dressing room, which provided a brilliant moment between Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
In the video, Bitton is first to say his goodbyes, saying his thanks to all his teammates for playing their part in an incredibly successful period in his life.
Before Rogic produced his final words, joking that his message would be short and sweet as he ‘didn’t want to cry again’ as he had done earlier in the afternoon at Celtic Park.

On the sunny day of May earlier this year, it was certainly the ideal send-off for Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic after their contributions in the green and white Hoops.
Both players have had their fair share of ups and downs across the decade they were in Glasgow. However, there is no denying they played their part in the club’s recent modern-day success.
Now, the former Celtic duo are off challenging themselves on a new stage, and I am sure the Hoops support will still be keeping a close eye out for how they get on in the next few years.
Maybe one day in the future, we may even see them return to Parkhead for a brief visit to catch their ex-teammates and manager in action once again.
