Brilliant footage has emerged recently of the Celtic support in Budapest as they prepare to support their team from Hungary.
Celtic supporters have been denied access to tonight’s match at the Groupama Arena between their side and Ferencvaros. This is due to the fact the Hungarian government won’t recognise UK Covid Vaccination Passports.
But that hasn’t stopped the Hoops fans from heading to Hungary to back the Bhoys either. And below, some class footage has been posted by the Coventry Emerald CSC as the supporters whipped up an atmosphere:
Celtic’s game against Ferencvaros tonight will be the 4th round of matches in their Europa League group. 3 points remain imperative tonight if Celtic are to qualify for the last-32.
The Hoops fans have already been robbed of several class away trips this year. The Ferencvaros snub comes after previously being banned from Midtjylland, Jablonec, Alkmaar, and Real Betis matches respectively.
Celtic confirmed earlier this week that they will receive an allocation from Bayer Leverkusen for their trip to Germany on matchday 5.

Celtic fans doing their best to voice their support in Hungary
This shows you what the Celtic support are all about. Banned from the stadium yet they still turn up in their numbers to allow the players to feel their presence.
It takes away the perhaps isolated feeling the Celtic players will have heading into tonight’s game. Knowing that they have a substantial support in the city could do wonders for their mindset. You can’t not feel the Celtic support when they take over a European city.
Celtic have impressed away from home in spells under Ange Postecoglou. But by and large, we haven’t been able to get the job done. Defeats on the night to Midtjylland, Alkmaar, and Real Betis have been a touch frustrating. Granted, the loss in the Netherlands still saw us progress to the UEL.
Tonight sees the Celtic players given an opportunity to prove something to their support. The opportunity to show that they can do more than put on a flashy show but come out defeated. Ferencvaros away was always going to be such a key game in the group.
It’ll be interesting to see how the performance levels improve given the support that has travelled over. We know how much of an impact it can make at Celtic Park.
Here’s hoping for a positive night then as we look ahead to an absolutely vital matchday 4 clash.
In other news, Victor Wanyama confirms he still wants to return to Celtic.
