Celtic B’s official Twitter account have provided class footage of all 6 goals from the rout of Edinburgh University on Saturday.
Adam Brooks stole the show with a fine hattrick, whilst Owen Moffat continued to capture the imagination with a sublime free-kick. Ben Summers also notched before Joey Dawson rounded off the scoring with a clinical close-range finish.
The result was Celtic’s 8th win in 9 games as they gather some serious momentum in the competition. And below, you can see footage of all of the goals mentioned above in what was a fine exercise for the young Bhoys:
The result means Celtic now sit 3rd in the Lowland League having leapfrogged Rangers. Granted, the Ibrox youngsters have a game in-hand still to play.
The Hoops still have plenty of fixtures remaining in the division, and sit only 2 points behind second-placed Spartans with 2 games in hand. Granted. Bonnyrigg Rose’s 10-point gap at the top should prove too big a gap to have any hopes of a late title push.
Celtic B face the league leaders on Saturday January 29th in what will be a key indication of their progress this term.
Celtic B have found their feet and are now strutting their stuff
Every week it seems as though Tommy McIntyre’s young Bhoys are bagging impressive headlines. They’ve finally found some consistency in the division, and the league table shows you how competitive they’ve been.
There have certainly been some standout performers in recent weeks too. Dawson’s hot run of form on the back of his first-team debut back on Boxing Day is certainly eye-catching. So too is some of the individual pieces of brilliance produced by Moffat. Brooks’ hat-trick this afternoon isn’t the first time he’s been front and centre either.
Results and performances like these will only help them catch the eye of Ange Postecoglou. Whilst there is a big gap between Lowland League football and first-team football at Celtic, the youngsters are developing nicely and continue to tick off the assignments put in front of them.

It’ll be interesting to see where Celtic see their youngsters developing next season as they continue to impress in the Lowland League. It was made clear when the initiative began that Celtic and Rangers’ B teams would be in the division for 1 season only [Sky Sports].
It’s certainly been a successful integration for them too. The chance to be involved in a competitive environment under the Parkhead umbrella whilst up against senior pros is the dream scenario.
Hopefully, they continue to end the season strongly after another fine performance at the weekend.
