Celtic’s win against Livingston got off to quite an incredible start.
Christian Montano stunned the Hoops twice in the first ten minutes, and it felt like Wilfried Nancy was in for another long afternoon.
But once Celtic took the lead, they kept it relatively comfortably – though this doesn’t mean that their finishing and defending didn’t leave a bit to be desired.
It was Nancy’s first away win in charge, as the team look to recover from their bruising first four games under the Frenchman.
And as he looks to get his reign off the ground, the Parkhead boss was keen to show his appreciation to fans.

4-2 was the halftime score-line, and the second period was comparatively less eventful.
This was evident in Nancy’s comments after the game, when he admitted that some parts of the performance were not so good.

This didn’t stop him from joining his players on a lap of the pitch after the game; the first time he has done this since taking the job.
Fan reactions after his first four games were not so great, but even after the Aberdeen win, Nancy went straight down the tunnel after embracing his opponents.
But with Celtic fans applauding the team off after the Livi win, Nancy showed his appreciation as seen in footage from The Fast Lovin’, Sin-Soaked Heathen on YouTube:

The Hoops travel to Tynecastle to face Hearts in less than a month’s time, as they look to beat them for the first time this season.

Wilfried Nancy’s comments after Celtic vs Livingston
Nancy was brutally honest when discussing the second half performance, but maintained praise for the ‘spirit’ of the players.
He told BBC Scotland: “I think that we could have controlled the game a little bit better, especially when we had to decide when we have to attack quick or when we have to keep the ball in their half, and I think that this is the next step.
“To be able to control this kind of game better and to be able to have more freshness for the next game. But I like the attitude. The attitude was really, really good.
“To distribute the competitive spirit was really, really good against a difficult team to play. The context, the pitch, and so on. So, really pleased.”
